Apple upgrade Mac lineup

Apple, the famouse iPod, MacBook, iMac, Mac Mini, Mac Pro maker has just update its model specs. Latest 45nm Intel chip, nVidia graphics, DDR3 RAM, and more storage space, latest Mac OS X operating system, and other nifty stuff.

But the heart-stealer is Mac Mini, it has caught my attention ever since it was launch. I would have have one IF it has better graphic processor, because Intel's IGP just suck

Not anymore. Apple has just upgrade its entire lineup with better parts from Intel and nVidia. This means it has Intel's new 45nm CPUs and nVidia's 9400M, which isn't too shabb.

For the not-so-bright, 45nm(nanometer) refer to how the processors are engraved/made on a piece of silicone wafer. The main benefit of shrinking that number means that the processor can use less power to provide the same performance as larger counterpart(i.e. 65nm, 90nm). This also means that for the same wafer Intel can make more chips out of it, bringing down the cost that end user have to bear

So get the picture? Smaller = Cheaper and Better

The nVidia 9400M does a good job of powering most games, but not hardcore gaming. But the Mini might be for you if you're looking for a very small computer that have latest processor, graphic for occasional video wathcing, photoshop, and some other stuff you can think of OTHER THAN HEAVY GAMING then Mac Mini is your choice.

At RM2300 it RM300 more than old Mini, but for the size and performance it offers, some people might find it worth it. Its up to you

Anyway, you can check that out at Apple's website
